Breaking Stuff
Ron and I are back on the boat in Lymington, tearing the boat apart! I personally have a great time in the destruction department. I have a vision of a wonderfully comfortable sailing yacht. Ron on the other hand wants to keep as much of the race boat as possible. Imagine the discussion before every bolt comes out... In the end we will have a wonderfully comfortable boat with plenty of utility for rough weather :) We have Harken coming to visit to talk electric winches and roller furling, as well as Lewmar for an autopilot discussion. With all this talk we’ve even gotten things done. We have begun the important task of installing LED lights to save all that energy. And we jerry rigged a quick 120V converter in to use that energy. We also have two double bunks underway and had a discussion with the foam people at Sanders Sails. At this time the weather is bleak, and the radio is announcing snow this weekend in Dorchester, not too far from us. I was promised that the Gulf Stream current, coming from the Gulf of Mexico, would keep the UK from getting too cold. Hmmm, can someone please turn up the Gulf Stream?? Portia
